Open your list of records and click "Edit" on the relevant record.
Apply corrections (metadata, spelling, links, identifiers) and save.
Reminder: only the creator can edit the record. If you are not the creator, contact them directly to request the correction.
Harvested record
Check the source: on the record, look at the "Contact" section to identify if the metadata record is harvested.
Procedure:
Go to the source repository website (link available from the metadata record).
Edit the record directly on the source repository if you have the rights.
If you cannot modify the source, contact the administrator of that repository, providing the resource identifier and the requested corrections.
After the source repository has been updated, wait for the next harvest (daily at midnight) for UCLR to ingest the corrected version.
Special case: error visible on UCLR but not in the source
If the record displayed on UCLR is wrong but the source record is correct → this is likely a mapping/transformation error during harvest.
In this case, contact the UCLR team here and indicate that it is a mapping issue. Provide: UCLR URL, source repository URL, field(s) in error and expected value.
Practical information / best practices
Only the creator can modify a record, regardless of the repository. Identify the creator before attempting changes.
Always provide: record identifier (URL), field(s) to correct, current value, expected value, and reason for the change.
Keep a trace (ticket, e‑mail) of correction requests and exchanges with the source repository or the UCLR team.
